June 2015
All technical experts should not miss the opportunity to share their knowledge on this global stage!

PaperWeek Canada, the major Canadian gathering for the advancement of the pulp and paper industry, will be taking place February 1-5 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). Building on the success and interest this conference has been generating in previous editions, we encourage all mill personnel, suppliers, researchers and experts to submit their latest work for presentation in the program. PaperWeek has been the top platform in Canada to reach the key players of the industry and raise global awareness of the most recent progress in the technology and innovation of the pulp and paper industry.

The technical program is organized by Session Committees in collaboration with the PaperWeek Program Committee.

We welcome papers both in English and French languages, from PAPTAC members and non-members covering the following topics:
Bleaching Maintenance
Converting Management
Dissolving Pulp Mechanical Pulping
Energy Cost Saving Paperboard Packaging
Environment Paper Machine Technology & Performance
Fibre Supply Process Control
HR Safety
Kraft Pulping Tissue
Logistics Others (please specifiy)
In order to help us forward your abstract to the appropriate committee for review, please CLEARLY indicate under which field/s you are submitting your abstract (if part of an unlisted topic, please specify so).

While there are no specific requirements or guidelines for submitting an abstract (you may choose your own format, line spacing, font, etc.), the recommendations here below will increase the odds of having your abstract accepted:
  - Abstracts will be selected according to level of quality and relevance;
  - Abstracts must describe the presentation’s purpose, methods, and conclusions and may not exceed 250-350 words;
  - Ensure that your ideas are well thought out and follow a logical, coherent flow;
  - State the issue to be discussed;
  - Ensure you include your name, title, organization and contact details, including e-mail, phone, fax and street address;
  - Ensure that the abstract relates to the conference theme;
  - Interest and intrigue the committee by indicating the innovative aspects of your work that distinguishes it from others;
  - Explain the implications/outcomes: why is what you’ve done important?

Should your abstract be retained for PWC 2016, we encouraged authors also submit their full manuscript for possible publication in J-FOR in accordance with mandatory guidelines, which will be sent to you afterwards at that time. However, acceptance for presentation in PaperWeek does not guarantee acceptance for publication in J-FOR.
