PAPTAC launched in 2012 its National Business Awards, recoginizing mill leadership excellence in three specific management fields: Safety Leadership, Environmental Strategy and Mill Management. The Association was very pleased with the quality of the submissions which were judged by an impressive panel of industry experts.
The presentation of these awards will take place during Thursday’s PaperWeek Luncheon.

PAPTAC Awards
John S. Bates Memorial Gold Medal
Dr. Pierre Lepoutre, founder of the Paper Surface Science Program at the University of Maine, will be presented the John S. Bates Memorial Gold Medal, in recognition of his long-term contribution to the science and technology of the pulp and paper industry. The official presentation will take place during the Annual General Meeting of the Association during Thursday’s PaperWeek Luncheon. Other PAPTAC award recipients will also be celebrated during the PaperWeek Welcoming Reception on Monday evening, Feb. 4th.
